Connect Slack

Set up your Slack app

Connecting Slack means creating a small Slack app for your agent to use. It takes six steps:

  1. Create an app at api.slack.com/apps.
  2. Add these Bot Token Scopes: chat:write, app_mentions:read, im:history, im:read, im:write.
  3. Turn on Socket Mode and copy the App-Level Token — it starts with xapp-.
  4. Add Event Subscriptions for message.im and app_mention.
  5. Install the app to your workspace and copy the Bot Token — it starts with xoxb-.
  6. Optional: copy the Signing Secret from Basic Information.

Paste the tokens into your dashboard's Slack connection screen as you go.
